Lake Loveland is the long-established 'gem' of the town of Loveland, CO -- the center of activity and pleasure for all of Loveland and its visitors.
The lake itself is private -- the recreational rights belong to the homeowners surrounding the lake. The recreational activities of the lake members are managed by the Lake Loveland Recreation Club. The public is not allowed to launch any watercraft onto the Lake. No swimming is allowed except at the North Shore beach during city-operated hours.
The majority of the Lake Loveland shoreline is private but the South Shore offers public fishing and a beautiful view of the Rocky Mountains. North Lake Park borders the lake's north side and features a swim beach, fishing, park with train, playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball courts, picnicking, softball fields, an amphitheater, and general outdoor fun.
All public-accessible areas are managed by the City of Loveland's Parks and Recreation Department.
